THAKEHAM VILLAGE ACTION, TVA, is campaigning against large scale development in Thakeham and its environs.

TVA's main campaigns concern:
- Thakeham's mushroom sites: housing estates and industrial factories have been threatened for
  over 10 years.
- Laybrook Brickworks - TVA has campaigned successfully against it being a rotting rubbish
  tip landfill site, and remains resolute for the site to be reserved for recreational use.

TVA also campaigns against large scale housing throughout the Parish, particularly against proposals at Water Lane, and in favour of protecting Thakeham's character for future generations.
